The parlor show begins with a powerful demonstration of doing the impossible. Evoking the incomparable Harry Houdini, Sharpo is shackled into stainless steel escape cuffs by audience members. He is then padlocked in with two master locks. All items have been examined by the audience. This routine is not only mystifying but also hysterically funny! In order for Edgar to free himself for his tortured prison of love he needs the help of three kind strangers. Audience volunteers are chosen to assist and in a most bizarre occurrence of mystifying mentalism the correct combination is unveiled!
The book test is a famous classic in mentalism and Sharpo miraculously “Sees” through the eyes of his audience volunteer, the words on the page selected of the book they have chosen!
The Ring and the Rope. Using a large stainless steel ring and a piece of rope or shoelace, Sharpo performs miracles that defy explanation. The theme of this piece of theater is the eternal nature of the circle and the finite frailty of the rope. The question posed is: Is there a link between the finite and the infinite? This dazzler leaves the audience believing that there is always more than meets the eye in this precious space we call “reality”.
The mind is the most powerful machine in all of creation. Sharpo closes out his act with a demonstration of instant recall using a pack of thoroughly shuffled playing cards. Performing feats that haven’t been witnessed since the days of Berglas, Sharpo continuously and instantly finds any card named by a spectator. The act comes full circle as he is blindfolded and placed in another diabolical restraint and placed several feet from the card table. A spectator draws each card in succession. Sharpo has instantly memorized the entire deck and he proves this by successfully naming each card drawn - all while making his daring escape.
