The Metaverse Is Here. Sharpo Is Excited to Join the adventure!
META-MAGIC: Sharpo in the Metaverse!
We keep hearing about the metaverse. The metaverse is coming! What will this new augmented reality / virtual world look like? I envision it being a lot like the “Oasis” in “Ready Player One.” Hopefully friendlier.
A powerful and amazing world. Vast and...magical! Filled with avatar versions of ourselves that conceal our true nature - (Much like magicians conceal their mysterious secrets) Dangerously deceptive...but wondrous in the potential for magical experiences. A place where we can feel like we are flying through the air like Superman or experience visiting alien worlds like Captain Kirk or immersing ourselves in three dimensional versions of our favorite stories, movies, and video games. The potential is limitless!
Gee... this sounds familiar. It is the way many of us described the “information super highway” when it was new. There are no limits to the imagination.
I imagine that the place for sleight of hand artists and stage/parlor magicians will be mostly outside of the metaverse. Outside the Matrix. It will be part of the “Unplugged experience.” I will happily offer such retreats for the weary overstimulated minds that need a respite from the bombardment of digital overload. Campfire magic shows! Sigh. A pleasant escape from the mega-meta world. (Ironic since this metaverse is a promised escape from the mundane world.)
Hopefully many people will sign up for my unplugged magic retreats. Still, I know Sharpo must be part of the metaverse too. This is the joining of the realization of the universal mind. How do we not do that? How do we do that? How does Sharpo penetrate the digital worlds that lie within?
I guess time will tell. Your suggestions are welcome. I want your help to bring my brand of mystery and magic into the brave new metaworld.
The future is unavoidable. I’m ready. Let’s do this. It will be an adventure within and without! I have registered the domain name “Withinland.com” in the hopes of creating a fun place to congregate when the powers that be flip the switch!
