Magic With Sponge Balls
Here’s another classic in magic. The sponge ball routine. This one is heavily influenced by the great Frank Garcia. This routine is usually super interactive and is especially good for family and children shows. This video is just me practicing and reacting to each effect.
Sharpo shows his hands are empty and there is nothing up his sleeve. He then produces a little red ball - seemingly from no where. He puts the ball in his fist and voila! It vanishes. Wait! It is in his hat! He puts the ball in his closed fist again and zowie! It vanishes again. This time it is in his pocket. He puts the ball in his closed fist again and does a sawing motion on the table the ball has either a) split into two balls or b) multiplied into two balls!
Sharpo then does the Garcia ten count and one ball invisibly jumps into the other hand joining the other ball. He repeats the countdown and zing! It happens again! He puts a ball in his fist and covers the other ball with the basket. Abracadabra! Both balls are under the basket. He puts one ball in his fist and one in the basket and presto! One ball is back in his pocket and the other under the basket. This time He covers both balls with the basket and apparently assembles an invisible ball from thin air. Zing a ding ding! There are now three balls under the basket. He leaves two there and puts one in his fist and Alacazam! The ball is again back in his pocket. Poof! All three are back under the basket. Again Sharpo assembles an invisible ball from the air and A la Peanut Butter Sandwiches, there are now 4 balls under the basket. With a smash of his fist he smushes the four balls to the top of the basket seemingly penetrating the wicker.. He lifts the basket and tada! There is now one much larger red ball under the basket.
