Strait Jacket Escape

Sharpo Belongs in a Strait Jacket! Here is an episode of "Hello Angel City" I made with the amazing and brilliant director, Toy Lei. Our ever patient and compassionate hero (Toy Lei) answers yet another call. This time the caller (Eric Howell Sharp) just wants to show up at her office without an appointment. He clearly belongs in a straight jacket! Is he a professional stage magician? Another lunatic? Both? We may never know. This reenactment is based on a paraphrased retelling by Agent Mimi Mayer of actual calls to her prominent Hollywood Talent Agency (Angel City Talent). IMDB me These days I perform a mantalism act - blindfolded - while escaping from the strait jacket. It is a crowd pleaser! The jacket I use has acrylic straps instead of leather. It is said that it is engineered to be 10 times stronger and even more difficult to escape from. The master himself, Houdini would take a huge deep breath and hold it as they strapped him in so that when he exhaled he had a little extra space to wiggle around in. It is also said he often dislocated his shoulder and other body parts in order to escape. I don't do that and I don't hold my breath. BUT if I am doing this escape for you and you see me turning blue...my hands are restrained so please be a pal and reach into my pocket for my inhaler. LOL.
Why do magicians do these daring escape types of stunts? Just one more demonstration that what we perceive as limitations of our human condition - they are mere illusions. The mind is where the real magic happens.
